49.2 Cousins of John Wheaver

John's mother Rebecca had ten siblings. Remember that we have a DNA link to all these people's father but the precise relationship could be questioned. Rebecca's siblings are as follows, with their children - John Wheaver's first cousins - and their families.

      • Moss Side is described in the opening chapter of Elizabeth Gaskell's Mary Barton as a rural idyll with a 'deep clear pool' and an old black and white timber-framed farmhouse, later identified as Pepperhill Farm. 
      • Following the Industrial Revolution there was a process of unplanned urbanisation and a rapid increase in population size, and Moss Side was amalgamated into the City of Manchester from 1885. My photos of Manchester are here. Manchester City FC built their Maine Road Stadium close by, in 1923.
