George and Jane Meadon had seven children, mainly in Shillingstone nr Blandford.:

- They lived in Marylebone
- By 1861, John had become a chemist, and they were living in Somers Town
- By the end of the C19, Somers Town was a notorious slum area
- No known children
- 40.1.2 - George Meaden (1813-1855)
- Born and died in Shillingstone, no other record found
- 40.1.3 - Harriet (1814-1890)
- Born in Stourpaine
- Stayed with sister Jane in 1851, and her mother in 1861 (Blandford)
- 40.1.4 - David Meaden (1818)

- 40.1.5 - Charles Meaden (1820-1875)
- Carpenter
- Died in Lytchett Matravers, about 6 miles from Poole, Dorset
- Poole is a market town on the south coast. My photos are here.
- Most of the population worked in connection with the harbour, although it was already a tourist destination in the later C19
- 40.1.6 - William Meaden (1829-1904)
- Married Mary Betsy Robertson (1823-1895) in Marylebone in 1851
- 1861: Prison warder, Isle of Wight (Wootton though)
- 1871: Beer shop keeper at the Greyhound, Blandford. I featured this pub in Chapter 15, although it seems grander than a 'beer shop'. Need to verify.
- 1901: Retired widower in Holloway (also close to a prison)

- Katherine Jane Meaden (1854)
- Charlotte Marian Meaden (1857)
- David George John Meaden (1860)
- 40.1.7 - (Edward) James Meaden (1834-1891)
- Married Mary Ann Vince (1845-1899) in c. 1872
- In Brighton in 1881 with an illegible occupation (a jeweller or a shoveller?!)
