William and Rebecca James had two children in Sutton Coldfield:
- 49.1.1 - John Wheaver (1850)
- William's stepson

- 49.1.2 - Hannah James (1857)
- 1871 (at age 14) was a servant in an ironfounder's house in Aston Manor
- Married William Parker Freeman (1885-1910) in Sutton in 1877
- He was a groom (son of a farm bailiff), and they lived in Farthing Lane, Maney (which leads off the main road, and is now largely car park)
- Children:
- William (Will) James Freeman (1885)
- 1891: Laburnum Place, Lichfield Road, Sutton. He was a gardener.
- 1901: They were boarding in Sheffield Road, [Boldmere] Sutton. He was a groom and domestic gardener.
- 1911: Not found. But she is present in the family group with her husband in 1927.
- It was Will who insisted that a grandfather clock stayed in the Wheaver family line.
