37.1 Siblings of James Larard

Francis and Elizabeth Larard had seven children:
  • 37.1.1 - Francis Larard (1801-1805). 
    • Francis died as a child
  • 37.1.2 - John Larard (1803)
    • At home with his bootmaker father in 1818 (witness to theft from the shop)
    • Married Mary Ann Starkey (1813-1855) in St Marylebone in 1830
    • In 1851, he was a 'fund holder'
    • No known children
    • In 1861, he is a retired boat builder, and widower,  lodging in Marylebone
  • 37.1.3 - Mary Ann Larard (1805-1805)
    • Mary Ann died as a baby
  • 37.1.4 - William Larard (1806-1895)
    • Married Sarah Keaton (d. 1895) at St Pancras Old Church in 1836
    • Boot and shoe manufacturer in Clerkenwell. Employed 11 men and a boy in 1861
    • The family lived at 28 Aylesbury St for many years. It was, and is, an industrial area adjacent to Clerkenwell Green. The Crown and Hat and Feathers are contemporary, and listed.

    • There is an interesting story, connected only by proximity in time and place, about a mysterious stranger here
    • Children:
      • Mary Ann Larard (1837)
      • Eliza Larard (1838). Eliza died in 1839.
      • Arthur Larard (1840). Arthur died in 1842.
      • Cassandra Larard (1842)
      • Francis William Larard (1844)
      • Martha Larard (1845)
      • Elizabeth Larard (1848)
  • 37.1.5 - Elizabeth Larard (1809-10). 
    • Elizabeth died as a baby
  • 37.1.6 - Edwin Larard (1810), 
    • Birth only recorded
