54.2 Paternal Cousins of Moses Le Brun

Pierre and Susanne Le Brun had eight children. Their children are Moses' siblings and first cousins.

      • 1871: At home with widowed mother in St Helier. Dressmaker. They share 3 Richmond Villas, St Aubin's Road, St Helier with another family, that of a retired lieutenant from England.
      • 1881: Still with her mother. Now a boarding house keeper at 3 Imperial Villas, St Saviour. I think this is now part of the Monterey Hotel.

      • 1881: At home with widowed mother; a grocer like her mother, and sister Alice. 
      • Married G L Croad (who may have been related to a Dorset-born undertaker)

      • 1901: At 2 Alma House (close to previous home, or the same home renumbered). Widowed grocer. Susanne is present. They kept a servant.
      • 1911: 3 Canterbury Place. Retired.
      • Married Thomas George Gaudin (1852) in St Helier in 1918
    • Horace Le Sueur (1860-1909)
      • 1881: At home with widowed mother. Blacksmith.
      • Married Maria Elizabeth Cooper (1864) in St Helier in 1887
      • By now, he was a carpenter and painter. They lived on St Aubin's Road, close to the bakery. By 1901, he was a carpenter and builder, and an employer. They lived in Lymington House, close to First Tower, and therefore to the bakery.

  • 43.1.7 - Moses Le Brun (1830)
    • No known children
  • 43.1.8 - John Le Brun (1831)
    • John Le Brun (1855)
      • Married Alice Jane Blampied (1861) in St Helier in 1886
      • When they were married, he was a master mariner, having been apprenticed on the Solent in 1869, and qualified in 1884. There was a London and South Western Railway paddle steamer called Solent, which provided ferry services to the Isle of Wight.
      • No census records found. No known children. In 1891, Alice was staying with her uncle, Edward Noel, who was secretary to the Mayor of St Helier). In 1901, she is with her widowed mother-in-law Harriet Le Brun in St Peter.
